Symphonic Community Band Director

David Bailey, music director/conductor, Nashoba Symphonic Band, is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and The Boston Conservatory. Following a stint as composer/arranger for the U.S. Air Force Bands, he held teaching positions at The Kent School, The Boston Conservatory and Public Schools in Somerville and Milford, Massachusetts. He has conducted bands, orchestras and choral groups extensively throughout the United States and Western Europe and was a finalist in the 1978 Guido Cantelli Competition in Milan, Italy. His composition commissions include works for U.S. Bi-Centennial Commission, the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA), the New Jersey Council for the Arts (Silk Road Project) and the Milford Performing Arts Center.
