Music Banquet RSVP

Just as a reminder that our annual music banquet RSVP is due soon.
These were mailed home a couple of weeks ago (also attached here as well)
Remember it is $20 for a student within our performing groups, and $35 for all additional family members.  Our Friends of music has subsidized the amount of the tickets to try to make it affordable for all.
We hope that you can all attend.  This is a wonderful event to celebrate all of the hard work and dedication from our students throughout the year.

FOM Meeting minutes have been posted to the site.

The Annual Winter Band Concert will take place this Thursday, March 30th at 7pm in the NRHS Auditorium. As always, we will be featuring our Intermediate and Advanced jazz bands as well as our Concert Band as they present their music for the upcoming MICCA Festival Competition. We will be featuring songs from artists like, Sonny Rollins, Dave Brubrek, and Eric Whitacre. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door – students and seniors get in for free.

Update on MICCA date

MICCA is the competition that we take part in every year that is a part of our Concert Band curriculum.  It is a way that our concert band can be heard and evaluated by top music educators in the country followed by a 30 minute clinic with one of those educators.

Our date and time this year is:

Saturday, April 1st
9:00 am Performance time
Hopkinton High School

(We will be leaving NRHS at 7:30 am that morning and returning around 11 am)

This is a mandatory performance for our concert band.

We hope to see you there as it is open to the public and tickets can be bought at the door.
