We hope you are having a nice summer! If you are interested in being part of the Nashoba Symphonic Band in the fall, here is some updated information. More information is available on the NSB page.

The Band is always looking for new members who perform on woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. Those wishing to join may register on this site or through the contacts found below. There are no auditions, but students (grades 8 and above) are required to present a recommendation from their high school instrumental director or private instructor.

Suggested annual donation is $75. There are no fees for students. Adults with need to complete a CORI check per Massachusetts General Law regarding interaction with public school students.

You may register on this site. For further information, alternate registration or a season brochure contact:

Regular rehearsals for the 2017-2018 season will be held on Thursdays, beginning August 31, from 7-9, in the Instrumental Music Room of Nashoba Regional High School, located on Rt. 117, west of Bolton center (gps address is 12 Green Street, Bolton)

 

Early registration or at least initial contact is highly recommended prior to first rehearsal to insure adequate music and equipment is on hand.

End of year in a Glance

Happy last week of high school for our seniors.  I can’t believe that we are already at this stage of the year.

 

I also would like to congratulate all of our choirs on a wonderful performance on Friday evening.

Monday, 5/29
Memorial Day Parades

Please return your permission slips asap if you have not done so last week.

We will be meeting at NRHS on Monday morning at 7:45 am and loading the bus and leaving at 8 am to Lancaster Town green.
There will be a signup list sent shortly for help with our annual BBQ in between the two parades.
Schedule:
7:45 am – Meet @ NRHS Band Room
8:00 am – Depart for Lancaster Town Green
8:15 am – Unload and warm up
9:00 am – Parade Step Off
10:30 am (Estimated) – Back to Town Green for ceremony
11:00 am (Estimated) – Pack bus and head for BBQ
12:45 pm – Depart for Stow Parades
2:00 pm – Stow Parade Steps off
3:30 pm (Estimated) Parade ends
If you are meeting us at either parade, or picking up from Stow, please send Joe McCarthy a quick note saying so.
